Przedsiębiorstwo Remontowo-Produkcyjno-Usługowo-Handlowe „TOMHAL“ was founded in 1992 by inż. Bernard Tomula. Using the good times, which in the early nineties appeared on the market for mining equipment, we began to refurbish parts of wall housing for Fabryka Zmechanizowanych Obudów Ścianowych „FAZOS“. The experience gained in the short time allowed to start production of new housing elements for the leading domestic producers:

The gradual development of the company and ever-increasing employment has forced need to take the necessary organizational and technical measures. We have purchased the entire area (about 40000m2) at Dr Bronisława Hagera 24b Street in Zabrze and all located on the property. On the basis of previous reviews the company - solid and timely contract , we have acquired new customers in the engineering and construction:

| There also have been a number of investment projects related to infrastructure. We have purchased a numerically controlled cut machine and modern lathe. Production halls are equipped with gantry cranes with lifting capacity of 5 tons and purchased fork-lift trucks to transport large structural elements. We have exchanged facades, roofs of halls and equipped halls with modern gas heating. For welding work we have isolated suitable positions and equipped them with the necessary ventilation required by the rules of safety for such positions. Social base for the crew has been modernized and administrative office space has been renovated. |  |
In year 2004 PRPUH "TOMHAL" has implemented Quality Management System per PN-EN ISO 9001:2000, what allowed us to implementation of recognized quality standards in range of:
"Production and assembly of steel constructions, performance and repair of machines and industrial equipment".
It should be noted, that holding of the certificate of Quality Management System is required by standard PN- EN 1804, which must be meet by producers of powered roof supports in the so-called. Machinery Directive, which is valid throughout the European Union.
Consolidating our position as a leading supplier of welded structures, in year 2010 we have implemented standard per DIN-3834-2 in the quality requirements for welding of metallic materials. At the same time, we have also obtained a certificate, that entitle us to manufacture those construction according to rigorous standard per DIN 18800-7.
Above mentioned certificates and rights provide about high quality level for produced goods by Przedsiębiorstwo Remontowo-Produkcyjno-Usługowo-Handlowe „TOMHAL“, that are made by well-qualified personnel.
The most important successes of the company are the production of steel components for lifting and transporting containers, fork-lift trucks and building machinery. Additionally our company has estabilished cooperation with leading manufacturer of electric motors – Fabryka Maszyn Elektrycznych “DAMEL” S.A. For “DAMEL” we manufacture body of electric motors, that are used to power supply for mining machines, like heading machine and gangway conveyor. Due to demands of work in an explosion-proof atmosphere (Directive ATEX), these motors are put on rigorous testing, with particular consideration of body tightness.
Przedsiębiorstwo Remontowo-Produkcyjno-Usługowo-Handlowe „TOMHAL“ is a constant supplier of construction elements of mechanized wall housing for two leading capital groups, that manufacture mining machines – „KOPEX“ and „FAMUR“.
